A dichroic glass cabochon is seen in this large safety pin.
Each one if my pieces is hand fabricated in my little shop in NE Wyoming..
My work is one of a kind, inspired by the beauty of the Black Hills, the life that surrounds me, here in the Wyoming.
Five inch stainless steel safety pin was used as the base.. I created the cabochon, set it in silver and soldered it onto the face of the pin.
The finish has been polished. I hang mine on the belt loop of my jeans to carry my keys. Other uses , as a hook for your hand bag, a shawl pin.. hang it on your saddle.. the uses are endless.
