These large lightweight “elipse” petal earrings are made from enameled copper. The slender shape dangles beautifully from copper colored hypoallergenic niobium earwires.
These earrings are embellished with designs using the sgraffito technique. First the copper is coated with white enamel, then the graphic images are created by selectively removing the enamel with a sharp drawing tool to create stunning interpretations of organic shapes.
The earrings are then heated precisely with a torch to activate the enamel and create the stunning colors you see here. Because they are handcrafted from start to finish, each pair of earrings is unique.
